Post Name: Lower Primary - LP
Total Vacancies: 120 (One Hundred Twenty)
Post Name: Upper Primary - UP
Total Vaccancies: 108 (One Hundred Eight)
Pay Scale: An attractive salary in Pay Band-2 (PB-2) of Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 70,000, plus a Grade Pay of Rs. 7400 and other allowances as per state government rules.

Who Can Apply?
Essential Eligibility Criteria-
To be considered for this noble profession, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Option A: Senior Secondary (12th) or equivalent with at least 50% marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Option B: Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education) (RCI recognized).
Mandatory Requirement
You MUST have a valid passing certificate for either the Assam TET (ATET) or the Central TET (CTET) for Lower Primary level.
Age Limit (as of 1st August 2025):
* Unreserved: 18 to 40 years
* OBC/MOBC: 18 to 43 years
* SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 18 to 45 years
* Persons with Disability (PwD): Up to 50 years
* Ex-Servicemen: Up to 42 years
Residency: You must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
Small Family Norms: As per government policy, candidates with more than two living children born on or after January 1, 2021, are not eligible. A self-declaration form must be submitted with the application.

Merit-Based Selection: The selection will be based on merit. Separate merit lists will be prepared for each district and category.
