Eligibility Criteria of Assam ST Scholarship
These scholarships are available for students studying within India and are awarded by the Government of the State/Union Territory where the applicant permanently resides. The specific eligibility criteria are as follows:
Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class IX & X)
- Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community and be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The student must be enrolled in a Government school or a school recognized by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
- The annual income of the student's parents/guardian from all sources must not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.
Post-Matric Scholarship (Class XI Onwards)
- Applicant must be a member of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community and a permanent resident of Assam.
- Must have successfully passed the Matriculation or Higher Secondary or any higher examination from a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education.
- The student must be pursuing post-matriculation courses in recognized institutions.
- The annual income of the parents/guardian must not be more than ₹2,50,000/-.
