How the Final Merit List is Prepared |
Unlike
the initial TCR result, which was a qualifying step, this final list is the
selection order. The DSE follows a detailed criteria to compile the final merit
lists, which is weighted based on multiple parameters, ensuring transparency
and fairness.
📊Key
Merit Criteria Components |
|
📌Subject-Wise
Merit Rules |
For Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
posts, the Directorate will publish a separate Merit List for each subject.
This ensures selection is highly specialized and competitive within the
candidate's core domain. The same subject-wise filtering process is adopted
for all other teaching disciplines (Arts, Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, etc.). |
🔁Subsequent
Lists |
In the event that seats remain unfilled after the
publication of the first 1:1 Merit List (perhaps due to candidates
failing document verification or medicals), the DSE reserves the right to
publish a maximum of two more supplementary Merit Lists to fill all
advertised vacancies. |

❓
Important FAQs Regarding Assam TET Final Result |
How
is this 'Final Result' different from the previous result? |
The previous result (May/June 2025) was the written test
qualification. This 'Final Result' is the Final Merit List
that determines selection after factoring in written test marks, academic
scores, non-academic achievements (NCC, Sports, etc.), and successful
document verification. |
Is
the merit list common for all subjects and categories? |
No. There will be separate Merit Lists for each subject
(especially for PGT posts) to ensure fair competition within specialized
domains. Candidates should check the specific list for their subject and post
(GT/PGT). |
What
is the significance of the 1:1 ratio? |
The first merit list will contain exactly the number of
candidates as the vacancies advertised (1:1 ratio). This means that if you
are on this list, you are provisionally selected, provided your documents are
accurate and verified. |
What
happens if I miss the initial merit list? |
If seats remain vacant after the first list, the DSE is
authorized to publish up to two more subsequent Merit Lists. Keep
checking the official website for updates on these supplementary lists. |
Who
should I contact for technical issues during result download? |
You can use the Technical Support Toll-Free Number: 08042303631
(available 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.) provided in the official notification. |
