🎯 Essential Eligibility Criteria (Education & GATE)

 

🎓Required Educational Qualifications

 

Candidates must possess ONE of the following:

  • Graduate Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in any of the specified Engineering disciplines (Electronics, E&T, E&C, EE, IT, CS, Computer Engg., CS&E). OR
  • Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./MCA) in Electronics, Computer Science, Physics with Electronics, or Electronics & Communication.

 

🔑Mandatory GATE Score Requirement

Candidates MUST have achieved qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2023, GATE 2024, or GATE 2025 in one of the relevant codes:

  • Electronics & Communication (GATE Code: EC)

️ Selection Scheme, Stages & Weightage

 

️Selection Stages Flow

 

Candidates are shortlisted based on their GATE score (10 times the number of vacancies) and proceed through two further evaluation stages:

  1. Initial Shortlisting: Based on the best GATE Score (2023/2024/2025).
  2. Skill Test (Practical & Technical): Commensurate with the ACIO-II/Tech job profile.
  3. Interview (Subject Knowledge & Communication): Aimed at assessing core traits.
  4. Final Merit List: Based on the combined weighted score (GATE + Skill Test + Interview).

 

️Final Merit Weightage (Max 1175 Marks)

 

The final selection is based on the composite score from these three stages:

  • GATE Score: 750 Marks (Weighted score from GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025). This is the highest weightage.
  • Skill Test: 250 Marks (Practical and technical assessment related to the job profile).
  • Interview: 175 Marks (Assessment of subject knowledge and communication skills).

📝 Step-by-Step Application Guide

 

🖊️The Two-Step Online Process

Applications must be submitted ONLINE only via the MHA or NCS portals. Follow this crucial two-step process:

  1. Step I: Registration / Sign-up
    • Visit the official application link.
    • Agree to the terms and click 'Registration/Sign-up'.
    • Fill in your Personal and Contact details (valid Email ID and Mobile Number are mandatory).
    • You will receive your Login ID (Application Sequence Number) and password via Email.
  2. Step II: Completion, Uploads & Fee Payment
    • Re-login using the credentials received.
    • Fill in all Personal Details, Qualification Details (including GATE score details).
    • Upload scanned photograph (100-200KB, max 12 weeks old) and signature (80-150KB).
    • Pay the Examination Fee (if applicable) and the Recruitment Processing Charges (paid by all) via the SBI gateway.
    • Candidates paying via SBI Challan (Offline) must ensure submission in the bank by 18.11.2025.
