Selection Method & Application Process |
⚖️Selection Methodology
- Merit-Based Selection: Selection
will be made solely based on the percentage of marks obtained in the
qualifying educational examination (Degree, Diploma, or ITI).
- Document Verification:
Shortlisted candidates will undergo verification of all original
certificates.
- Contract Signing: Final
selection is subject to the successful signing of the contract on the
respective mandatory Government Apprenticeship portals (NAPS/NATS).

Filling
up the Apprenticeship Registration Number is MANDATORY for the NRL online
application. You must register first on the Government portals:

Is there any exam for the NRL Apprentice recruitment? |
|
No. Selection is purely
merit-based, calculated on the percentage of marks obtained in your
qualifying educational degree/diploma/ITI course. There is no written
examination or interview. |

Is the Apprenticeship Registration number mandatory? |
|
Yes, it is absolutely mandatory.
You must register on the respective Government portal (NAPS for Degree/ITI or
NATS for Diploma) and obtain your registration certificate before filling out
the NRL online application form. |

Is there any upper age limit? |
|
No. While the minimum age is 18
years (as of 17.11.2025), there is no upper age limit for Apprenticeship
Training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. |
|
What is the special clause for Diploma Engineers? |
|
Diploma Engineering candidates are
only eligible if they passed their Diploma course in the years 2023, 2024,
or 2025. Contracts cannot be signed if the passing date is more than 3
years old. |

Is there any application fee? |
|
The notification does not mention
