The Centre
for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), under the Ministry of Culture,
is inviting applications for the "Award of Scholarships to Young
Artistes (SYA)" for the year 2025-26. This is a prestigious scheme
aimed at nurturing and supporting young talent across various cultural fields.
A total of 400
scholarships will be awarded this year to deserving candidates.

Duration and Term of Scholarship |
- The duration of scholarship will be two years.
- The nature of training will be determined in each case after taking into consideration the previous training and background of the scholar. Normally, it will be in the nature of advance training under a Guru/ Master or in a recognized institution.
- The Scholar will be required to undergo a rigorous training. Such training will include minimum of three hours a day for practice alone apart from the time spent for acquiring knowledge of the theory of the subject/field concerned and also an appreciation of the related discipline.
- Each scholar will be paid Rs. 5000/- per month for a period of two years to cover his/ her living expenses on traveling, books, art material or other equipment and tuition or training charges, if any.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria |
To be
eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria.
- Nationality: Must be an Indian National.
- Age: Applicants must be between 18
and 25 years of age. (The cut-off date is typically 1st April of the
application year, so you should be in this age group as of 01/04/2025.
Please confirm the exact dates in the official application form).
- Proficiency: This scholarship is for artists
with "outstanding promise" and is not for beginners.
- Training: Applicants must have a minimum
of 5 years of training with a Guru or in a recognized institution.
A certificate from your Guru/institution is required.
- Education: Candidates must have an
"adequate general education to pursue their training
effectively."
- Exclusion: Candidates who have already
received this scholarship in any field are not eligible to apply
again.

- Gather Documents: Collect all the required
