The CTET is divided into two levels. You must meet the
specific criteria for the level you wish to teach.
Paper
I (Primary Stage: Classes I–V)
- Senior
Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks + Passed/Appearing in 2-year
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Senior
Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks + Passed/Appearing in 4-year
Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Graduation
with at least 50% marks + B.Ed. (Note: Appointment of B.Ed
candidates for Primary levels is subject to specific government
recruitment rules and court orders).
Paper
II (Elementary Stage: Classes VI–VIII)
- Graduation
+ Passed/Appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Graduation
with at least 50% marks + Passed/Appearing in Bachelor in Education
(B.Ed).
- Senior
Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks + Passed/Appearing in 4-year
B.El.Ed.
Key Note: Candidates "Appearing" in the
final year of their teacher training course are also eligible to apply.

Step 1: Registration
- Visit
the official website: ctet.nic.in.
- Click
on the link "Apply for CTET Feb-2026".

"New Registration". Read the instructions and click
"Click here to Proceed".
- Fill
in your basic details (Name, Date of Birth, Email, Mobile No.) to generate
your Application Number and create a Password.
Step 2: Fill Application Form
- Login
using your new Application Number and Password.
- Fill
in your personal details, choice of examination centers (choose carefully,
as this cannot be changed later), and educational qualifications.
- Select
the Paper you wish to apply for (Paper I, Paper II, or Both).
Step 3: Upload Scanned Documents
- Upload
your Photograph and Signature strictly adhering to the size limits

Step 4: Pay Examination Fee
- Pay
the fee using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
Step 5: Print Confirmation Page
- After
successful payment, a Confirmation Page will be generated.
