A Major Policy Shift:
The CBSE Joint Recruitment Exam |
This 2025 recruitment marks a significant departure from
previous years. The Ministry of Education has authorized the Central Board of
Secondary Education (CBSE) to conduct a "Common Recruitment Exam" for
both KVS and NVS. Previously, each organization conducted its own separate
hiring processes.
This "Joint Recruitment" is a major policy shift
aimed at streamlining the entire process, reducing administrative delays, and
ensuring greater efficiency and transparency.
For applicants, this has several important implications:
- Standardized
Process: All candidates will face a single, standardized
examination pattern and difficulty level set by CBSE, a body renowned for
conducting national-level tests like CTET.
- Increased
Competition: By merging the applicant pools for both KVS and NVS,
the total number of candidates for common posts (like PGT and TGT) will be
significantly larger, leading to higher competition.
- Efficiency
for Applicants: Candidates can now be considered for posts in
both organizations through a single application. The notification
specifies that if a candidate applies for similar posts in both KVS and
NVS, they only have to pay the fee for a single post.
