Office of the District Commissioner & Controller of Civil Defence, Chirang has released an official notification (File No: DM-21/28/2026-RDM-CHR/497053) for the recruitment of 60 Civil Defence Volunteers. Interested and eligible candidates who are permanent residents of Chirang district can appear for a Walk-in-Interview scheduled for 10th December 2025.

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

 

Name of Post: Civil Defence Volunteer

No. of Vacancies: 60 Posts

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Residency: Candidates must be a permanent resident of Chirang District.
  • Educational Qualification: Minimum Class 10th Pass (HSLC) or above is preferred.
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates must be in good physical, mental, and emotional health (able-bodied).

Age Limit:

  • Age Range: Candidates should be between 18 to 50 years of age.

 


 

Selection Process

 

The selection will be based on a Walk-in-Interview carrying a total of 30 Marks. The breakdown of marks is as follows:

  • Note: Selected volunteers will have to undergo training in Guwahati under the Director General of Civil Defence & Commandant General of Home Guards, Assam.

Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must appear directly for the Walk-in-Interview. No advance application is required.
