Vacancy & Eligibility Details

 

The recruitment is divided into three major wings. Candidates must check the specific educational qualification for the wing they wish to apply for.

1. Indian Army Agniveer Eligibility

  • Agniveer (General Duty - All Arms & Women Military Police):
    • Qualification: Class 10th / Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
    • Note: For boards following the grading system, a minimum of 'D' Grade (33-40) in individual subjects and an overall aggregate of 'C2' grade is required.
  • Agniveer (Technical - All Arms):
    • Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with min 50% aggregate and 40% in each subject.
    • OR: 10th Matric pass with 50% aggregate and min 40% in English, Maths, and Science PLUS 2 years of Technical Training from ITI or Diploma.
  • Agniveer (Clerk / Store Keeper Technical):
    • Qualification: 10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject.
    • Mandatory: Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping is mandatory.
  • Agniveer Tradesman (10th Pass):
    • Qualification: Simple Class 10th pass. No aggregate percentage is required, but must have scored 33% in each subject.
  • Agniveer Tradesman (8th Pass):
    • Qualification: Simple Class 8th pass. No aggregate percentage is required, but must have scored 33% in each subject.

2. Indian Navy Agniveer Eligibility

  • Agniveer (Senior Secondary Recruit - SSR):
    • Qualification: Qualified in 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized Board.
  • Agniveer (Matric Recruit - MR / Musician):
    • Qualification: Passed Matriculation/10th or equivalent with minimum pass marks.

3. Indian Air Force Agniveer Eligibility

  • Agniveervayu (Science Subjects):
    • Qualification: 10+2 Intermediate with Maths, Physics, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.
    • OR: 3-Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Auto/Computer Science/IT) with 50% aggregate.
  • Agniveervayu (Other than Science Subjects):
    • Qualification: 10+2 Intermediate in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.

 

Physical Standards (Height Relaxation for NE)

 

The advertisement highlights specific height standards, including relaxation for candidates from the North East region.

  • General Minimum Height (Male): 157 cm (Varies by trade/region).
  • Minimum Height (Female - Air Force/Navy): 152 cm.

Selection Process

 

The selection process for all three services generally involves:

  1. Phase I: Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE / INET / STAR).
  2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (Running, Push-ups, Squats, etc.) & Physical Measurement Test.
  3. Phase III: Medical Examination.

 

Selection Process (Step-by-Step)

The recruitment process for Agniveers in 2026 will be conducted in three major phases:

Phase I: Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted at allocated exam centers.
  • Questions will be objective type (MCQ).
  • Negative marking applies (usually 0.25 or 0.5 marks deduction for wrong answers).

Phase II: Recruitment Rally (PFT & PMT)

Shortlisted candidates from Phase I will be called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

  • 1.6 Km Run:
    • Group 1 (Up to 5 Min 30 Sec) - 60 Marks
    • Group 2 (5 Min 31 Sec to 5 Min 45 Sec) - 48 Marks
  • Pull Ups (Beam): 10 Pull-ups (40 Marks) to 6 Pull-ups (16 Marks).
  • 9 Feet Ditch: Qualifying only.
  • Zig-Zag Balance: Qualifying only.
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Height, Weight, and Chest measurement.

Phase III: Medical Examination

  • Candidates clearing Phase II will undergo a medical checkup by Military Doctors.
  • Fit candidates will join the merit list; those with temporary issues (TR) may get a review.
