Eligibility Criteria of Assam SC Scholarship

 

Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class IX & X)

-        Applicant must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.

-        He/she must be a permanent resident of Assam.

-        The student must be studying in a Government, Govt. aided, or recognized private school.

-        The annual income of the student's parents/guardian from all sources must not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.

 

Post-Matric Scholarship (Class XI Onwards)

-        Applicant must be a member of the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.

-        He/she must be a permanent resident of Assam.

-        Must have passed the Matriculation/HSLC/Higher Secondary Examination of a recognized University/Board.

-        The student must be pursuing post-matriculation courses in recognized educational institutions.

-        The annual income of the parents/guardian must not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.

 

 


Important Notes for Applicants

-        Active Bank Account: All scholarship payments are made directly to the student's bank account via DBT. Applicants must provide details for an active bank account to ensure a smooth transaction. The authorities are not responsible for payment failures due to incorrect or inactive bank details.

-        Aadhaar-Bank Linkage: It is mandatory for every applicant's bank account to be linked with their Aadhaar number.

-        Aadhaar Number: All applicants must provide an Aadhaar number. For minor applicants without an Aadhaar card, the Aadhaar of a parent or legal guardian is required.

-        Bonafide Certificate: A bonafide certificate, obtained from the head of your educational institution, must be submitted with your application.

 

How to Apply for SC Scholarship?

Eligible candidates must submit their applications through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Follow the steps below to complete your application:

  1. Scroll down to the "Important Web Links" section on this page.
  2. Click on the "Online Application Form" link.
  3. A new page on the National Scholarship Portal will open.
  4. Click on "New Registration" and complete the registration process.
  5. After registration, log in using your credentials and fill out the scholarship application form carefully.
  6. Upload all required documents as specified in the portal.
  7. Finally, click on "Submit" and take a printout of your submitted application for future reference.
