Salary/ stiped posts wise


For JMGS I


  • Scale of Pay: ₹48,480 - 2,000/7 - 62,480 - 2,340/2 - 67,160 - 2,680/7 - 85,920

  • LBOs join at initial scale with 3 increments (as per Joint Note).

  • Additional: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA)/Leased Accommodation (as per scale and location), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Medical Aid, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Terminal Benefits, and other perquisites as per prevailing rules.

  • Increments for JAIIB and CAIIB qualifications (if acquired) are protected and adjusted at joining.


Education qualifications:


For JMGS I


  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

  • Candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet/Degree Certificate indicating the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

  • Calculation of Percentage: Total marks obtained in all subjects/semesters/years divided by aggregate maximum marks, multiplied by 100 (fractions ignored, e.g., 59.99% treated as less than 60%).

  • All educational qualifications must be from recognized University/Institute/Board approved by Government Regulatory Bodies.


Note: Candidates terminated or removed from previous employer are ineligible.


Experience requirement


For JMGS I


  • Post-basic qualification work experience of 18 months or more in Officer cadre in any Public Sector Bank (PSB)/Regional Rural Bank (RRB) on regular basis.

  • Experience in NBFCs, Cooperative banks, private banks, payment banks, small finance banks, or fintechs will not be considered.

  • Experience certificate must be submitted at the time of application as per Annexure-I format.


Important Information


  • This is lateral recruitment; selected candidates will be posted in the applied state initially.

  • Proficiency in mandatory local language (reading, writing, understanding) is required; test conducted as part of selection process (exempt if studied in 10th/12th standard).

  • General cadre, governed by Bank's promotion policy. No inter-state transfer/Controlling Office Posting (ZO/HO)/special branches (CBB, Currency Chest, ARB, RCC) up to SMGS-IV or 12 years of service, whichever earlier.

  • Probation Period: 6 months.

  • Service Bond: Equivalent to 3 months' gross salary (initial basic + DA + Special allowance + DA on Special allowance) for 3 years. Must serve minimum 3 years from joining date; resignation before requires paying bond amount.

  • Credit History: Minimum CIBIL score of 650 or above at joining; CIBIL Report from candidate's bank to be submitted at Document Verification.

  • Posting: Anywhere in India after 12 years or SMGS-IV promotion.

  • Present PSB employees ineligible.


Exam processes


The recruitment process includes an online written test, screening of applications, personal interview, proficiency test in local language, and final merit list preparation. The online test is conducted at specified centers across India. Shortlisting for interview is based on written test performance. Proficiency in local language is tested during interview for provisionally selected candidates. Document verification occurs before final selection. Bank reserves right to modify process or conduct re-exam if needed.


Selection process


  • Written Test: Online exam (qualifying marks: 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for reserved categories per section).

  • Screening: Applications screened for eligibility and experience.

  • Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates (ratio at Bank's discretion) called for interview (30% weightage).

  • Proficiency in Local Language: Test during interview (exempt with 10th/12th proof); failure disqualifies.

  • Final Merit List: Based on written test (70% weightage, out of 120 marks converted to 70) + interview (out of 50 marks converted to 30) = out of 100. Prepared state-wise and category-wise. In case of tie, ranked by age (descending).

  • Final Selection: Top-ranked in merit list, subject to medical fitness, document verification, police verification, and antecedents.

  • Bank may shortlist based on experience/suitability. Qualifying both test and interview mandatory.

Online Written Test (Objective, 120 minutes total, bilingual English/Hindi except English Language):

  • English Language: 30 Questions, 30 Marks, 30 minutes

  • Banking Knowledge: 40 Questions, 40 Marks, 40 minutes

  • General Awareness/Economy: 30 Questions, 30 Marks, 30 minutes

  • Computer Aptitude: 20 Questions, 20 Marks, 20 minutes Total: 120 Questions, 120 Marks.


Qualifying Marks

40% (UR/EWS),

35% (Reserved) per section; aggregate considered for shortlisting.
