- Educational Qualification: 1st class bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering field from a recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE/UGC, with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate.
2. Assistant Officer Trainee (AOT) - E1 Grade
- No of posts: 6
- Educational Qualification: NET/GATE qualified 1st Class Post Graduates from a recognized University/Institute, approved by AICTE/UGC.
Eligibility Criteria of NRL Recruitment
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years as of 10.10.2025.
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 10 years for PwBD (UR) candidates against reserved posts.
- Experience: No prior experience is required for these posts.

Selection Process of NRL Recruitment
The selection process will consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Personal Interview (PI).
- Computer Based Test (CBT): All eligible candidates will be called for an objective type CBT with no negative marking. The test structure is as follows:
- For GETs: The test will comprise 4 sections: Subject Knowledge (80% weightage), General Knowledge/Current Affairs, English Language, and Reasoning & Numerical Ability.
- For AOTs: The test will comprise 3 sections: General Knowledge with questions on Energy Scenario (60% weightage), Reasoning and Numerical Ability, and English Language.
- Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for a Personal Interview in a ratio of 1:5 based on merit.
- Final Selection: The final selection will be based on 85% weightage from the CBT and 15% weightage from the PI. Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in both the CBT and PI separately.
Pay Scale & Stipend
- GETs (E-2): Selected candidates will undergo one year of training with a consolidated stipend of Rs. 50,000/- per month. Upon successful completion, they will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 - 1,60,000.
- AOTs (E-1): Selected candidates will undergo one year of training with a consolidated stipend of Rs. 40,000/- per month. Upon successful completion, they will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 40,000 - 1,40,000.
