Established under the Ministry of Railways, there are 21 RRBs located in different parts of the country, each serving a specific jurisdiction. The primary objective of the RRBs is to ensure a fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment process for one of the world's largest railway networks. They conduct centralized employment notifications (CENs) for various technical and non-technical posts, managing the entire recruitment cycle from online applications to conducting computer-based tests (CBTs), document verification, and medical examinations. By leveraging technology and standardized procedures, the RRBs aim to attract qualified and competent individuals to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the Indian Railways, a vital component of the nation's infrastructure and economy.
