This single exam is the mandatory pathway for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in the prestigious Sainik Schools and the newer Approved Sainik Schools across India for the Academic Year 2026-27. 👤 Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

 

 

🎓For Admission to Class VI

  • Age Limit: The candidate must be between 10 and 12 years old as on 31st March 2026.
  • Educational Status: The candidate must be studying in Class V or must have passed Class V from a recognized school.
  • Gender: Both Boys and Girls are eligible to apply for Class VI admission.

 

📚For Admission to Class IX

  • Age Limit: The candidate must be between 13 and 15 years old as on 31st March 2026.
  • Educational Status: The candidate must be studying in Class VIII or must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school.

The syllabus for AISSEE is generally based on the CBSE curriculum for Class V (for Class VI admission) and Class VIII (for Class IX admission). Focusing on core subjects is vital as Mathematics carries the highest weightage.

  2. Fill Application Form: Log in using your credentials and accurately fill in all academic, personal, and exam-related details.
  3. Document Upload: Upload scanned images of the candidate's Photograph, Signature, Left-Hand Thumb Impression, and all required certificates (DOB, Domicile, Caste, etc.) in the specified format (usually PDF/JPG, size limits apply).
  4. Fee Payment: Pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. A confirmation page will be generated upon successful payment.

Are girls eligible to apply for admission through AISSEE?

Yes, Girls are eligible to apply for Class VI admission in all Sainik Schools. Admission for girls in Class IX is also possible but subject to the availability of vacancies in specific schools.

What is the language medium for the Class IX entrance exam?
