Selection Procedure & Evaluation Criteria
The selection will be conducted by a District Level Committee. The panel will be drawn up for one academic year only, and the list of selected candidates will be submitted to the Assam State Level EMRS Society for final approval.
Candidates' qualifications and experience will be evaluated based on the following weightage:
- Total marks obtained in Graduation: Max. 100 marks (1 Mark for every percent).
- Total marks obtained in B.Ed: Max. 100 marks (1 mark for every percent).
- Previous experience: Max. 10 marks (1 mark for every complete year).
Eligibility Criteria & Remuneration
Educational Qualification (Must Fulfill All):
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and in aggregate from a recognised Institution.
- B.Ed degree from a recognised university/autonomous institute approved by NCTE.
- Qualified in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
- Proficiency in teaching in the English medium.
Age Limit (as on 01.06.2025):
- A candidate must be between 21 years and 60 years of age.
- Retired Teachers from State Government / KVS / NVS / recognised CBSE schools may also apply, with a maximum age limit of 65 years.
Monthly Remuneration (Salary):
Guest Teachers with full-time engagement shall be paid as follows:
- With qualification as per NESTS Recruitment Rules: ₹33,000/- per month
- Without qualification as per NESTS Recruitment Rules: ₹29,000/- per month
