Assam Special TET 2026: Apply Online
for LP & UP Teacher Eligibility |
Department of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, has
announced the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) 2026 for
Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) levels. This Special TET is
specifically conducted for candidates eligible to teach in Bodo, Garo,
Manipuri, and Hmar medium schools.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through
the official SEBA portal starting from January 7, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria |
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to appear for
the Special TET 2026:
1. Residency
- Must
be a permanent resident of Assam.
2. Educational Qualification
- For
Lower Primary (Paper-I):
- Senior
Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year
Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- OR
Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed.
- OR
Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special
Education).
- OR
Graduation and 2-year D.El.Ed.
- For
Upper Primary (Paper-II):
- Graduation
and 2-year D.El.Ed.
- OR
Graduation with 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed.
- OR
Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A. Ed / B.Sc. Ed.
(Note: Relaxation of 5% in academic marks for
SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PwD candidates).

Candidates must pay the examination fee online. The fee
structure for each paper (Paper-I or Paper-II) is as follows:

Exam Pattern & Syllabus |
The exam will consist of two papers: Paper-I (LP) and
Paper-II (UP). All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Duration:
2 Hours 30 Minutes (150 Minutes) for each paper.
- Total
Marks: 150 Marks.
- Negative
Marking: No negative marking.

To qualify the Special TET 2026, a candidate must score:
- General
Category: 60% (90 out of 150 Marks).
- Reserved
Category (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PwD): 55% (83 out of 150 Marks).

- Visit
the Portal: Go to the official website sebaonline.org
or the direct link provided below.
- Register:
Click on "New Registration" and enter your basic details.
- Fill
Application: Log in with your credentials and fill the application
form.
- Upload
Documents: Upload your Photo, Signature, and Educational Certificates.
- Pay
Fee: Pay the examination fee online.
- Submit:
Submit the form and take a printout of the acknowledgment/application
form.
