PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara, Guwahati has
released an official notification for the recruitment of teachers and other
staff on a Part-Time Contractual Basis for the academic
session 2026-27. The Vidyalaya is conducting a Walk-in-Interview to
prepare a panel of eligible candidates for various posts, including PGTs,
TGTs, PRTs, Balvatika Teachers, Coaches, and Medical Staff.
Interested and eligible candidates can submit their
applications by hand or post before January 25, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria |
Candidates must meet the specific educational and
professional qualifications prescribed by KVS norms.
1. PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)
- Qualification: Two-year
Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course of Regional College of Education of
NCERT in the concerned subject; OR Master Degree from a
recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the
concerned subject.
- Professional: B.Ed.
or equivalent degree from recognized university.
- Desirable: Proficiency
in teaching in Hindi and English media.
2. TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)
- Qualification: Four
years’ Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT
in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; OR Bachelor’s
Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subje1cts/combination
of subjects and in aggregate.
- Professional: B.Ed.
Pass & CTET (Paper-II) qualified.
3. PRT (Primary Teacher)
- Qualification: Senior
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma
in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) / 4-year Bachelor of
Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2-year Diploma in Education (Special
Education).
- Professional: Qualified
in CTET (Paper-I).
4. Balvatika Teacher
- Qualification: Senior
Secondary class (Class XII or its equivalent) from a recognized board with
at least 50% marks.
- Professional: Diploma
in Nursery Teacher Education / Pre-School Education / Early Childhood
Education Programme (D.E.C.Ed.) of duration of not less than two
years OR B.Ed. (Nursery).
5. Other Posts
- Computer
Instructor: B.E/B.Tech (CS/IT) / BCA / MCA / M.Sc (CS/IT) / B.Sc
(CS) or equivalent.
- Doctor: Minimum
MBBS & registered with MCI.
- Nurse: Diploma
in Nursing.
- Counselor: B.A/B.Sc
(Psychology) with Certificate of Diploma in Counseling.
- Coaches: Degree/Diploma/Certificate
in the relevant field (Sports/Yoga/Art/Music).
