🎓Minimum Educational Qualification
The
minimum qualification for all notified posts under CEN 06/2025 is a University
Degree or its equivalent from a Government-recognized institution.
*Typing
Proficiency:* For *Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist* and *Senior Clerk Cum
Typist*, mandatory Typing Proficiency in English/Hindi on a computer is
required.

- 1st Stage Computer Based Test
(CBT-1): Common
for all posts. Screening nature.
- 2nd Stage Computer Based Test
(CBT-2): Merit
determining stage (Post-specific difficulty).
- Skill Tests: Computer Based Aptitude Test
(CBAT) for SM/TA OR Typing Skill Test (CBTST) for Clerical Posts.
- Document Verification (DV) &
Medical Examination (ME): Final selection based on merit and fitness.

Both CBTs
share the same syllabus (Maths, Reasoning, GA), but CBT-2 has more questions

👤Job Profiles (Snapshot)
- Station Master (Level 6): Key supervisory role, managing
station operations, train movements, and passenger amenities. Involves
shift duties.
- Goods Train Manager (Level 5): Formerly Goods Guard.
Responsible for running the goods train, ensuring safety compliance, and
coordinating logistics at both ends of the journey.
- Chief Commercial Cum Ticket
Supervisor (Level 6): Supervisory and managerial role in ticketing, reservation,
revenue generation, and customer complaints in the commercial department.
- Junior Accounts Assistant Cum
Typist (Level 5): Clerical and accounting work, preparing budgets, settling claims,
and maintaining financial records. Requires typing proficiency.

|
The upper age limit is generally 33
years. OBC-NCL get +3 years (Max 36), and SC/ST get +5 years (Max 38). These
are reckoned as on 01.01.2026. |

for CBT-1 and CBT-2? |
|
No, the core syllabus (Maths,
Reasoning, General Awareness) remains the same for both stages. However, the
depth and difficulty level of questions in CBT-2 will be higher. |

(CBAT) is mandatory only for candidates who opt for the **Station Master**
