🎓Minimum Educational Qualification

 

The minimum qualification for all notified posts under CEN 06/2025 is a University Degree or its equivalent from a Government-recognized institution.

*Typing Proficiency:* For *Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist* and *Senior Clerk Cum Typist*, mandatory Typing Proficiency in English/Hindi on a computer is required.

📝 The 4-Stage Recruitment Process

 

️Selection Stages

  1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1): Common for all posts. Screening nature.
  2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2): Merit determining stage (Post-specific difficulty).
  3. Skill Tests: Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for SM/TA OR Typing Skill Test (CBTST) for Clerical Posts.
  4. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination (ME): Final selection based on merit and fitness.

 

1️ 2️CBT-1 & CBT-2 Exam Pattern

Both CBTs share the same syllabus (Maths, Reasoning, GA), but CBT-2 has more questions and determines the final merit.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the age relaxation for Graduate Level posts?

The upper age limit is generally 33 years. OBC-NCL get +3 years (Max 36), and SC/ST get +5 years (Max 38). These are reckoned as on 01.01.2026.

Is the syllabus different for CBT-1 and CBT-2?

No, the core syllabus (Maths, Reasoning, General Awareness) remains the same for both stages. However, the depth and difficulty level of questions in CBT-2 will be higher.

Which posts require the CBAT?

The Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is mandatory only for candidates who opt for the **Station Master** and **Traffic Assistant** posts.

Is there any refund of the application fee?

Yes. Candidates attending the **1st Stage CBT** are eligible for a partial refund: ₹400/- for UR/OBC/EWS candidates, and the full ₹250/- for SC/ST/Female/EBC/PwBD candidates.
