Eligibility Criteria

 

 

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Candidates appearing in their final year can also apply, but must possess the essential qualification by the application closing date.

 

  • Age Limit: 20 to 25 years as on August 1, 2025. (Born not earlier than 02.08.2000 and not later than 01.08.2005).

 

  • Age Relaxation:

 

    • SC/ST: 5 years

 

    • OBC: 3 years

 

    • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years

 

 

  • Professional Qualification (for SI in Delhi Police - Male): Must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT). Male candidates without an LMV license are eligible only for SI posts in CAPFs.

  2. Login: Log in using your credentials and click on the "Online Application Form" link.
  3. Fill Details & Upload: Fill in all personal and educational details accurately and upload necessary documents (photo and signature).
  4. Fee Payment: Make the payment of the application fee as per your category.

Physical Standards Test (PST) & Relaxations

 

The PST measures the height and chest of candidates.

Height and chest relaxations (usually 5 cm) are provided for candidates belonging to Hilly Regions (including J&K, North East) and all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST).

 

 

 


 

 

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

 

Candidates must successfully complete all of the following events to qualify for this stage:

Important Points:

 

 

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify in both PST and PET to be eligible for the next stage (Paper-II).
  • Chances: Candidates are typically given three chances for the Long Jump and High Jump events.
  • Appeal: If a candidate fails to meet the physical requirements, they may be allowed to appeal to the Appellate Authority.

Syllabus for Computer Based Test (CBT)

 

Paper-I Syllabus

 

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: Includes both verbal and non-verbal type questions such as analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem solving, arithmetical reasoning, coding and decoding, syllogistic reasoning, emotional and social intelligence.

 

  • General Knowledge and General Awareness: Testing awareness of the environment, current events, and general knowledge pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research.

 

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Focuses on appropriate use of numbers, including Whole Numbers, Decimals, Fractions, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Algebra, Geometry (Triangle, Circle, etc.), Trigonometry, and Data Interpretation (Histogram, Bar diagram & Pie chart).

 

  • English Comprehension: Testing the candidate's basic comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing ability.

 

 

Paper-II Syllabus

 

  • English Language and Comprehension: Designed to test understanding and knowledge of the English Language, covering error recognition, filling in the blanks (verbs, prepositions, articles, etc.), Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, and Comprehension.

  • What is the minimum age to apply?

The minimum age required is 20 years as of August 1, 2025.

  • Is a Bachelor's degree mandatory?

Yes, a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university is the essential educational qualification for all posts.

  • Is an LMV driving license mandatory for all posts?

No. The valid LMV driving license is only mandatory for Male candidates applying for Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police. Candidates without a license can still apply for SI posts in CAPFs.

  • Is there any negative marking in Paper-I and Paper-II?

Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in both Paper-I and Paper-II.

  • When will the exam be conducted?

The Computer-Based Examination (Paper-I) is tentatively scheduled for November - December 2025.
